Title: simulation oil refinery

Abstract: in this simulation client can interact with the models outside the oil refinery, and also this simulation having good information about oil refinery.

Target Audience: this application is for adult age 18 to 40 (but they must have knowledge how to use computer).

Goal:

The goal of this application is to allow the user to experience of been in oil refinery  site at Iran user can see, interact and even go on some part of oil refinery which most of people wants to see it but in term of destination and traveling may not be possible and as I did research about it this application will be the first simulation for oil refinery  in Iran.

What is the application trying to solve?

At this simulation first users can having realistic feeling which they are in real oil refinery and in term of distance can be really helpful for those who interested to see the oil refinery and how’s working but they can’t travel to see it , even local people having hard time to see the oil refinery because the oil refinery located so far from city, Ahvaz (approximately 250km) and the most important part will be at real oil refinery people are now allowed to freely walk and go any part of oil refinery but in this simulation they be able to do it.

What is the advantage of VR that can be exploited to enhance project?

This virtual simulation would allow the users to fully experience the space of the oil refinery tools which are exposing there.

Users will be able to interact with tools at oil refinery, read about the equipment tools and this will give them vital information about everything’s they want to know about this type of oil refinery.

Is this project new?

Yes this project is completely new and nobody did this before for this oil refinery.

Objectives:

To immerse the user through realistic visuals and modeling.

To understand the message for any tools through pop-up menu.

To allow user to easily access and interact with some of the big tools.

Description:

On the starting page before the user start the VR application, there will be short brief introduction of the application and also a list of instruction on how the user can navigate and interact with the objects within the simulation.

Entering the first level users can walk on the oil refinery so they will saw all structure of oil refinery when they go near of them the information will pop-up at the back, level one is for exposing oil refinery structure.

(Entering level 2)

At the end of top site  there will be place which user can get in then they will be transfer to second level of simulation which will be control room here like the first level users can see information about oil refinery (if be possible short movie about them)

Entering level 3

Here at this place which will be concocted to end of level 2 users can see some type of oil refinery’s (like water site oil refineries).

The most important target for this simulation is been realistic in term of modeling.
